How can we identify a genuine need and propose a solution that delivers value? This course introduces the mindset and practices of a business analyst, from understanding the problem and stakeholder perspectives to defining objectives, the scope of change, and requirements.
Classes combine lectures with practical work on business problems. Participants practise asking questions, identifying needs, evaluating ideas, and defining and prioritising requirements. They also learn how to assess whether a proposed solution addresses the identified problem.
The course provides a foundation for further study in Business Process Modelling and Improvement and Information Systems Design.
